Independence Associates, Inc.
(IA) is located in Brockton, MA serving 31 communities south east of Boston.
Since 1980, IA has worked with people with disabilities providing the resources which enable them to live as independently as they wish in the setting that they choose. Living independently is about dignity, freedom and overcoming the barriers which still exist today for persons with disabilities. As a cross age, cross cultural and cross disability organization, IA works to provide resources to any person with a disability living within the communities we serve.

Personal Care Management
IA is a Personal Care Management Agency (PCM) for the MassHealth Personal Care Attendant Program. PCMs provide eligibility evaluations for consumers who are beginning or continuing to employ a PCA. In addition to the 31 communities served by our Independent Living Program, PCM services are provided throughout Southeast Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands
Community Events
In addition to other community events, IA is an active particpant in Brockton's annual Holiday Parade (Saturday after Thanksgiving). On the parade route, the decorated storefront and photos with Santa add to the festivities. Visit our Events and Calendar Page for more information.
